I'm sure most of you remember Jim from Street Customs & Restoration (Season 2, Episode 3 of Car Warriors). If not, just prior to coming on set for the filming of the episode, Jim's son Bryson was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This was very hard on Jim for obvious reasons, but he still made the decision to continue on with his plans to compete on the show. With one thing in mind, to WIN! To win for Bryson. Because after their unfortunate circumstance, they needed to start putting some marks in the win column. Jim and his team made it their mission to win the competition, so that they could take the car back to North Carolina and auction it off to help with Bryson's treatments.
If you are a parent or even if your not, this story hits close to the heart. Bryson is only a young boy with a long fight in front of him. Having met Bryson, I can tell you this boy has more fight in him then I could ever hope to have. So if your days are like mine, trust me I know how busy you are, but please take a few moments to check out Brysonsfuel.org
Bryson’s F.U.E.L. is a 501© 3 dedicated to providing hope and support to those who are touched by childhood cancer, no matter the age of the child. Our mission is carried out through three unique programs.
• Reach out to families through the Children’s Hospitals by providing toys and blankets to children in the hospitals. As well, we try to buy a netbook for older children if they do not have one, who remain In-Patient for an extended period of time, so they can remain caught up with school and stay in contact with friends.
• Providing spiritual and financial support to struggling families through the clinic, to provide gas cards, dining cards, co-pay assistance and toys.
• Working TOGETHER with families to do fundraisers to bring awareness & support for children right here in our own communities, that we may not even be aware are fighting this battle.STOP! Read this post! It's for a good cause...,
